VISITORS TO CANADA MEDICAL PLAN

This is one of the few visitors to Canada medical plans offering pre-existing condition coverage at all. Stable chronic conditions are covered if there is a 180-day period of stability immediately before the policy starts.

Individual rates are very competitive while the family rates are even more competitive. The plan is underwritten by a large international insurance company - Manulife.

Coverage can be obtained easily and quickly. In most instances it takes no more than 10 minutes to put a policy in force.

NEW ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for Visitor to Canada Insurance, all applicants must now satisfy the following eligibility requirements:

You are not eligible for coverage under this policy if:

  • the date of your trip occurs during the time that you have been advised by a physician not to travel; and/or
  • you have been diagnosed with a terminal illness with less than two (2) years to live; and/or
  • you have a kidney condition requiring dialysis; and/or
  • you have used home oxygen during the 12 months prior to the date of application.
