WAITING PERIOD

• if the insurance was purchased prior to arrival in Canada there is no waiting period
• if the insurance was purchased after arrival in Canada there is a waiting period as follows:
•  within 60 days of arrival sickness coverage starts after 48 hours from the policy effective date
• over 61 days from arrival sickness coverage starts after 7 days from the policy effective date
